Deputy Principal at Yellow Kite Nursery
Jade is the Deputy Principal at Yellow Kite Nursery, formerly Kangaroo Kids, and an experienced early years practitioner whose journey into childcare began long before formal qualifications. From a young age, Jade was naturally drawn to caring for children, spending time with younger cousins, family friends, and later supporting friends with their own children. She instinctively stepped into the role of entertainer and caregiver, creating games, storytelling, encouraging imaginative play, and finding joy in the everyday moments that make childhood meaningful.
This early connection to children shaped her understanding of how care, learning, and enjoyment are deeply linked in the early years. Simple routines became opportunities for connection, whether turning mealtimes into playful moments or supporting children through encouragement and creativity. These experiences laid the foundation for Jade’s belief that children learn best when they feel safe, engaged, and genuinely supported.
Jade went on to formalise her passion through professional study, completing CACHE Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Childcare, followed by a CACHE Level 5 qualification in Early Years Management. Her training has given her a strong grounding in child development, safeguarding, leadership, and high-quality early years practice. She combines this knowledge with hands-on experience, allowing her to support both children and educators with confidence and care.
Committed to continuous professional development, Jade has completed a wide range of CPD training focused on supporting families and children through key areas such as transitions, sleep routines, bilingualism, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. She is fully first aid trained and also holds the role of Health and Safety Officer, ensuring that children’s safety, wellbeing, and care remain central to daily practice.
As Deputy Principal, Jade brings warmth, consistency, and a deep understanding of early childhood to her leadership role. Her approach is rooted in real experiences, strong relationships, and a genuine respect for children and families, helping to create nurturing environments where children can thrive at their own pace.
