At Yellow Kite Nursery, formerly Kangaroo Kids, we have embraced a Forest School approach to play, cultivating a nature-based community where our skilled and passionate teachers nurture child-led learning and exploration through meaningful and holistic experiences.
Nestled within our enchanting 25,000-square-foot outdoor garden, you will find our magical Forest School. This serene haven is adorned with big leafy trees that offer shade as we delve into the wonders of the natural world. On any given day, you can find our little explorers crouched down, engrossed in their latest bug hunt, building bug hotels, and observing the seasonal changes in their surroundings.
Within our Forest School, we have created a pretend fire pit, a perfect spot for sharing experiences, reading books together, and mindfully watching the clouds drift by. This cosy gathering place fosters a sense of community and reflection, allowing children to connect with nature and each other.
The well-being of our children is at the heart of everything we do. We understand the importance of encouraging sustainability and fostering a love for nature in our daily nursery life. By nurturing child-led discovery, we seize every opportunity to support the holistic growth of our children, ensuring positive lifelong impacts.
Our culture is rooted in collaboration and embracing challenges together. By doing so, we allow children to blossom into their true potential, developing resilience, empathy, and a deeper sense of connection with themselves, their peers, and the environment. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring space where children can thrive and grow, both individually and as part of a community.
